But when one door closes another one opens! And now I’ve also got some awesome news, I’ve signed a book contract with Vegan Heritage Press! I couldn’t be more proud to be working with such an amazing and compassionate publishing house. You’ll have to wait for all the juicy details, but it’s official. I’m an author!

  1. What a freakin’ crazy year, babe!! Congratulations on your anniversary and for achieving SO much in such a short amount of time. A testament to the impact you have on people ALL OVER! You know how proud I am of your book deal. Love and hugs.

  2. Wow! Nothing can get you down, girl! You are accomplishing so much and are such an inspiration!! I have enjoyed following your journey :)

  3. Love this Somer – so proud of you! You are one amazing woman, and all who come into contact with your energy are bound to benefit. Can’t wait for the year that is to come! Congrats! xx

  4. Congratulations on all that you’ve accomplished! Even though, I just recently found your site, I’ve really enjoyed everything I’ve come across. The recipes are great and your personal story of transformation is very inspiring. I wish you all the best in this next year to come in life and with your wonderful blog!

  5. Kudos girl you made it! You might not be anywhere where you thought you would be but don’t you love it that your right here…right now? Can’t wait to read the book :)

  6. Congratulations! Looking forward to your cookbook and maybe some teaser recipes along the way…? ;)
PS….I love baby lima beans and I can totally see this recipe in a quinoa crust or stuffed in those portobellos.

  7. Congratulations! What a fabulous year. I really admire you for all that you’ve accomplished and for all the inspiration you provide. And I just have to ask – how is it that you’ve been so successful with your blog? I’ve been blogging for 6 months and I only have just over 500 followers. I don’t feel bad about this, in fact, I feel pretty good about it. Still, you obviously know something that I don’t know because you have almost 8,000 followers after just a year. If there are any tips you can share I’d really appreciate it! Also, thank you for reminding me about your chocolate chip cookie bars. They’re going to be my next sweet indulgence for sure!! Keep on rockin’! Celeste :)

    1. Erin, bread doesn’t make you fat.

I eat desserts in moderation, as in perhaps a couple of times a month. Most of my diet is based on vegetables, fruits and whole grains. This blog does high light some of the special occasion meals I eat, but if you look at my green smoothie challenge, that’s more how I eat on a daily basis, with a special occasion meal or dessert thrown in every once in a while.

  8. Congratulations! I’m so proud of you. You deserve all the good things that come to you in life. You help so many, and have great recipes! Good luck! I’m glad I followed you over the months.

  9. Congratulations on such a successful year! You rock! I’m looking forward to the release of your much anticipated book. Perhaps one day we can meet and you will be kind enough to sign my copy! ;)
