I hate being the first to , but by the time I finish Swyping thus I won’t be. I’m gonna make me a pot pie.
Nice! Pot pie would be so good!
I would probably make a stew. That sounds pretty delicious.
The stew is delicious! Awesome!
I’ll be making tacos!
Mmm. Tacos….!
awe man! i hate living in England! closest place i could get these would be Ireland
Blast, Large Chunk unflavored TVP is the closest substitute, but it’s not exactly the same…
bbq soy curls. for sure.
Good Choice!
I’m going with the BBQ Sandwich if I can get my hands on some of those Butler Soy Curls. We can’t get them where I live as is the case with many great foods I know I must be missing; either that or I don’t know where to get them.
I guess ordering them wouldn’t be entirely out of the question though but I’d like to try them first.
Pick me, pick me oh random generator!
Best of luck Ruby! 🙂
A case of Soy Curls? You’re a lucky lady! My favorite ways to use Soy Curls are in Smoky Soy Curls from Vegan Diner in a BLT or to make the Courico Tacos from Vegan Brunch. Both options are amazing!
Ohhh, smoky soy curls. I must check that out!
See, this is just the most recent reason why I’m jealous of you. The only person to ever send me free stuff was you! But it’s cool. Our fav restauramt wants to give us free dessert next time were there. But that’s not what I’ll use the soy curls for.
I’m thinking chili, because after my just-ok chili (not even blog worthy) I’m still craving good chili, so I find a recipe for white bean chili.
I would love to try the not-beef stew! 🙂 And I’m from Canada, glad you included us!
Yay for Canada entries!
I would love to try the BBQ sandwich recipe.
Nice!

Rad, now is that a tiara you’re wearing? Are you princess of the vegetables? 🙂 🙂 🙂
Considering they scare me every time I see a bag, maybe you can teach me to love them…lol!
I was truly afraid too. I’m over it. I seriously don’t think this product is any more processed than tofu. Join the giveaway! 🙂
How awesome, Somer! I liked Bulter on FB (already liked you), and can’t wait to try these soy curls in your BBQ sandwich – but I think I’d also like to make a chili with them too… perfect for winter! Yum!
Chili Sounds Delicious!
I want to make “chicken” noodle soup!
Oh! Brilliant, I hadn’t even thought of that!
I already like ALL of you Somer!! I won’t be entering the giveaway but am STILL drooling all over this sandwich….I think I know what I am having for lunch 🙂 XO
Teehee! Thanks Shira! xoxo
Wow those dishes look amazing 😀 I’d use my little slow cooker and make a stew with kabocha squash, lentils, onions and mushrooms. Mmmm
Ohhh! Good idea!
I’m hoping for my own personal giveaway ;-), hehe. Give some other folks a fightin’ chance to win the Curls!
You know you’re ON!
Looking good :D. Would you not send them to the UK? Not even for me? 😀
ONLY for you. They are pretty awesome. I was seriously surprised!
Haha – I have sway in the blogging world, clearly… Can’t wait for this vegan pot luck thingy… 😀
Yes, yes you do. And really, you CAN enter! I’m super excited about the potluck. I just picked up all the ingredients for my dish last night- hoping it turns out exactly like I plan! We’re starting to get some sponsors on the potluck!!!
(I won’t deprive an American, it’s all right :D) Oh fantastic! I haven’t even thought properly about mine yet… well, I have an idea – I need to sort lighting out for my new flat soon… it’ll be hard to photograph food in my current set up, but we’ll see…
Hey, your latest photos look awesome. My kitchen is huge and awesome, but pretty dark, especially all winter, I might need some tips on what lighting equipment you plan to invest in. So not happy with my photos lately, the only reason I keep posting is because MOFO forces me too. Argh.
Haha – I wouldn’t worry too much! I’ve not ordered anything yet, but will be soon – I’ll keep y’all updated! 😀
Nice!
I’d have to try our “famous” sloppy joes recipe. We made it once with potatoes as a base for someone who couldn’t eat protein. It was good, but it wasn’t the same.
Oh that sounds really, really good. Soy Curl Sloppy Joe’s on the menu soon!
I might even run em’ through the food processor to give them a smaller texture.
Pulled soy curl BBQ sandwich (North Carolina vinegar based, not tomato) on one of your pretzel rolls for me. I’ve made myself VERY hungry.
Oh NICE! Your the second person who’s suggested a vinegar base. do you have a recipe?
Not formal…. working on formalizing it. My North Carolina farmgirl grandmother used to make it with butter, AC vin, hot pepper, salt, pepp. I replaced the butter with EVOO and added some sage and thyme last time I made it and it was delish.
I have seriously been dying to try these…I even have saved recipes for korean bbq that I want to make with them! Thanks for the giveaway 🙂
Oh Korean BBQ sounds fantastic!
I like you on FB
fabulous! Thanks!
I wanna make your stew–it sounds sooooo good!
Courtney

Woot!
I like the soy curl people on FB too
awesome!
I pinned the giveaway too!
Rad!
It would have to be not-beef pot pie. Make a stew, place in ramekins with pastry over top and bake. Yummy! And thank you for thinking of those of us up in the frozen tundra 🙂
What a delicious idea!
I’d make Vegan Diner’s smoky curls mmm… yummy!
K, I really need to figure out what the heck that is!?!
I liked Butler Foods on Facebook!
thanks

Yes, yes, and yes! What a great giveaway! What am I going to make with these soy curls? Um, everything? Or at least your not beef stew.
Woot, your man garbanzo might get jealous though…. 😉 He’s pretty “meaty”
This stew looks all shades of delicious!! Yummmmm
Wow, thank you!
the last time i made soy curls they were bbq and i added the cold leftovers to a quesadilla with daiya pepperjack and it was MAGIC.
Oh, that sounds like magic!
I would make soy curl adobo a la Turning Veganese!
Yum yum yum!
I find that Seitan works well as a beef substitute in stews and things, especially the jars of it in Tamari marinade. I use it in my Red Thai curry recipe.

Seitan in Tamari marinade? Oh man. I need to see if our Whole Foods has such a thing. I’ve been making seitan in the kitchen, but haven’t perfected it yet….
Soy curl stroganoff with a variety of mushrooms-portabella, oyster, button. I think I know what my next post is going to be…Also, following on FB now! 🙂
Oh girl, that would be incredible
Share it with my carnivore friends and make them something awesome and they’ll love it, then tell them afterwards it was vegan…..
That’s the spirit!!!
I’d love a barbeque sandwich.
me too!
Vegan Philly “Cheesesteak” =)
YUM!
A BBQ sandwich just like the picture!
Nice!
Congratulations to the winner(s?) I’m sorry I don’t have the name on hand right now though.
I’ve got a question. How much do you pay for these? I can’t find them yet at our biggest store around here and I haven’t had a chance to get to my local (an hour and a half away!) cooperative to see if they have any and how much they might be. I did check out the Butler site but was taken aback (I think) at the prices if I was reading them right. Not to mean or say anything bad about Butler at all!
Wishing everyone a wonderful day/evening. Peace.
I bought them online at the butler site in a case. I felt like it was a good investment. The bags of soy curls are big, to give you an idea, half a bag of soy curls (as a meat replacer) is equivalent to more than a pound of chicken in volume. I thought that made them very affordable since I only use half a bag at a time to feed my family of four. Hope that helps.
