  1. I finally went and bought a case of these Butler Soy curls and it was so well worth it I can’t describe. I did have my doubts I learned here that it’s a great product and I’d love to win!

  2. I love Soy Curls! I usually end up using them for chili, tacos, or as veggie bacon (using the recipe from Vegan Diner). I’ve been meaning to use them to veganize my mom’s old recipe for chicken and noodles, but that’s been on my to-do list for a long time!

    1. I really need to order Vegan Diner! I’ve heard so many good things about that recipe in particular (and I’m sure it’s all fabulous). Soy curls are so versatile! I have made chicken noodle soup with them and it worked perfectly!

  3. Your BBQ sandwich recipe was what got me to buy the curls in the first place, and it’s still a favorite. Was a big staple at our Thanksgiving this year! I’ve not yet tried their seasoning though, but that’s definitely on the to-do list!

    1. That’s such a tasty sandwich! I’m so pleased that you like it and the soy curls so much! What did you do with the soy curls for Thanksgiving? Intrigued!

    1. You are so missing out! They are so great and incredibly affordable. I especially like them for evenings when I’m struggling with what to make for dinner. It’s easy to build a meal around them!

  4. We order soy curls frequently – they’re a menu staple! I’ve asked 3 different local stores if they would stock them, but it’s not happening 😦 .

    1. I wish we could get them locally too, but the online deal is pretty sweet and they ship quickly so it’s not too big of a deal. I’m glad you love them so much!

  5. I’m thinking about old-fashioned chicken & dumplings, like my grandma used to make! I would LOVE to have a vegan version of that comfort food!

    1. You are so missing out! They’re great! You might have to pulse them a bit in the food processor to get smaller pieces, but they would make incredibly convincing sloppy joes!

  6. My family loves soy curls! I buy them by the 12-lb. box and keep them in our freezer. (Take the bag out of the box, though, or there will be no space in the freezer.) My favorite place for them is in “chicken” noodle soup, but I have a bunch of recipes where I use them.

    1. Pixie, that is a super smart idea. I really (REALLY) want a chest freezer since my fridge/freezer combo is full of frozen fruit, spinach, kale and nuts and seeds. I would love to store more soy curls!

    1. I can’t get them locally either, but they are super easy and affordable to order online. I love how one pack is enough for 2 dinners for a family of 4 or more depending on what you’re making. So economical! They are really versatile too so I’m sure whatever you have in mind you could find a way to make it work.

  7. Soy Curls are the best. We don’t eat them often (twice a month?), but when we do, we share with friends — who can’t believe they’re not meat. I have you to thank for the introduction to this fabulous pantry (freezer) food. Cheers, Somer! Miss you, girl.

    1. They are incredibly realistic! Miss you too! It’s been a crazy year for me. Hopefully I’ll be able to be more in touch with you and other bloggers I love when I can sit at the computer longer after my recovery. xoxo!

    1. Mary, I can’t get them locally either, but they are super easy and affordable to buy online. Shipping is quick too. Lots of people I know buy them in bulk for the value, but if you don’t want that much of them, you could even split the order with a friend. They are fantastic! I think you’d adore them 🙂

    1. Yeah, not that many stores carry them unfortunately. For me, it’s something work ordering online because the pricing is good and shipping is quick. You can feed a family of 4 for dinner with just 1/2 a package, so the value is really good! They are excellent in soups and stews, especially if you season them nicely first.

  8. I’d like to try Beef Stroganoff. I’ve never tried Soy Curls, but they look very versatile! Thanks for offering the “Give Away.”

  9. I am planning to veganize the traditional Puertorrican Christmas food: Pasteles. It’s like a tamale but using starchy tubers such as yucca and taro for the masa.

  10. the first time i used soy curls, i made “hot wings” and no one asked if they weren’t chicken. i fooled them all! muahahaha! 🙂
