Denley Fowlke was the first raw vegan I ever met. I worked two doors down from him in a Real Estate office 15 years ago. He was (and is) a radiant picture of health. Lean, tanned, perfect teeth and glowing complexion (although, we’re both a bit older now). At the time I was baffled that anyone could eat a diet consisting of raw plants, sprouted grains, nuts and seeds, ALL THE TIME. I was intrigued and he inspired my first real juice fast. I even went out and bought what was then one of the top of the line juicers (a Champion, which I still own and it still works, um, like a Champion). A year later, I had moved into a different city and because of Denley’s influence, I attempted to go raw. At the time I was fairly young, and to be honest, didn’t really get entirely what a raw vegan was, the only resource I had was this totally awesome bookTo my credit I lasted a full six months on a raw vegan diet. I have to admit that after a period of time, everything started to taste like grass and I couldn’t handle it any more. So I went back to my sad Standard American Diet.

As you all know, I went fully vegan at the beginning of 2012 and I’m doing a month of mostly raw for April. This time around, I’ve got a better arsenal of rawtopia up my sleeve, plus all the tricks and tools of the trade that all the cool kids have (Blendtec, Cuisinart Food Processor, Dehydrator, etc.)

Fast forward to last month, my husband decided he wanted to start using a protein powder to fuel his workouts. I did my research and decided that Sunwarrior would be the best product for his needs. I loved that it’s vegan and raw! After buying the Chocolate Protein Powder at Whole Foods, I went online to see if I could get a better price on the Sunwarrior site. Imagine my surprise when I discovered on the site that Denley Fowlke is the Co-Founder of Sunwarrior. Now I knew that my husband was using a product I could trust, one with integrity and without any gimmicks. Well, I’ve since reconnected with Denley and Sunwarrior invited me to be one of the first to test our their BRAND NEW product, the Liquid Vitamin Mineral Rush. It’s Raw, Vegan and Organic!

I love this product! One thing we vegans always worry about is whether or not we’re getting our correct vitamin profile, I mean, plants give us nearly everything we need, but those B-12 and D vitamins can be a little elusive.

Here’s what Sunwarrior has to say about their product:

“Vitamin Mineral Rush contains no synthetics, chemicals, fillers, soy, or gluten, unlike many other multivitamins. Sunwarrior is one of the first companies to use no synthetic vitamins or minerals at all in their vitamin products.

Vitamins and minerals are crucial for good health and fitness and yet even the most health conscious people are forced to take chemical laden pills full of synthesized vitamins. We’re very happy to provide them a better option.”

Sun Warrior Liquid Vitamin Mineral Rush2Better option indeed! I’ve been using the product for two weeks now. The first thing that I love about it is that it’s a liquid, so it’s instantly absorbed by the body. There’s no worrying about whether or not it’s going to break down within your system and provide you with everything you need, (read here about some vitamins being eliminated from the system….whole). The liquid is pleasant tasting on its own, but you can also mix it with juice, water or into a smoothie. I love that you get an instant energy boost when taking the supplement as well. This product totally meets my needs!

Now, here’s the cool bit. Sunwarrior has been incredibly generous and is giving away FIVE bottles of the Liquid Vitamin Mineral Rush to FIVE of my readers.

    1. Yeah, I forgot to mention that it’s great for those on the go because you’re not swallowing 12 pills to get your daily supplementation like with some other vitamin mineral brands! I’ll keep you updated my dear. xx

  3. I absolutely love Sunwarrior products! I have such a hard time absorbing nutrients from food and regular supplements because of multiple intestinal surgeries, so I think this would be perfect for me!!!! It would be so nice to win this to try it out 🙂

    1. OH! This would be SO perfect for you! Poor Lean Green Bean! I can almost feel the nutrients absorbing right away! This one is definitely going to be a star in their line up!

  4. Hmm. So interesting! I keep meaning to hop back on a multivitamin… but haven’t found one that I like! I will have to check this out, giveaway or not! 🙂

    1. Please do! I think that the trouble with getting a multi-vitamin is that you have to take so many to get your complete nutrition and end up taking loads of pills. No one likes that. Either that or you get some super compact version that doesn’t dissolve. Ew.

    1. Oh I’m missing out, I didn’t even know they made chia bars! Thanks for the info!

Yep, pretty fantastic! Hope you’ll enter the giveaway! 🙂

  5. I love SunWarrior’s chocolate powder with a frozen banana. It makes such a tasty mid-afternoon snack or a quick breakfast on those crazy days. I’m in Canada so I can’t enter the contest, but I’ll be on the look-out for this vitamin. Looking forward to reading your future posts!

    1. That’s a dynamite combination! Easy Fuel! Sorry that you’re excluded from the contest. I did a few worldwide giveaways and got postage shock :/ Thanks for following along! xx

  6. I would LOVE to win this! I currently take a litany of vitamins (prenatal, D3, fish oil, vitamin C, digestive enzymes, etc.) and I’d love to take just one especially a plant based supplement 🙂

        1. You need to use the rafflecopter link, It automatically determines all the entrants for me so that I don’t have to keep track of everyone. Sorry!

  7. I take several different vitamins and supplements. Vit. E every other day, Evening Primrose oil, magnesium, black cohosh, dry vit. D (and wonder just how effective it is….) It would be great to get something more potent. I also would like to pass on the info to my daughter and s.i.l.

    1. Oh pretty please pass it on! The more the merrier! Yes, this stuff is potent! It would be nice if you could just take one product! 🙂

  8. WOW this sounds amazing, I have heard Gabby over at he Nook talk about Sun Warrior often and have yet to try it – the Drinkable Vitamins sound so appealing!

    1. So amazing! I’m really enjoying their products! I went out and bought the liquid light, ormus supergreens, activated barley and a couple others because I had been so sick over the winter. I can’t believe how much better I feel after a week. I totally vouch for their stuff! Like I said…. I know the owner 😉

The liquid vitamin may be the pinnacle! Thanks for the share on Facebook babe! xx

  9. I’m taking a host of supplements, including B-12. I gave up glucosamine/condroitin after adopting a vegan diet. I take turmeric, but it’s not as effective. Anybody out there know of a really good vegan joint supplement?

  10. I take: a prenatal, Vitamin D, Vitamin B-12, fish oil, and a probiotic … lots of pills, but they make me feel great!

    1. I admit I feel better after adding supplementation into my diet as well. For a long time, I wasn’t doing anything. Thanks for entering 🙂

  11. I currently take a butt-load of vitamins, courtesy of my doctors’ orders. It would be fantastic to be able to just drink some vitamins, and not have to worry about taking all of those pills.

  12. Love Sunwarrior. I use their chocolate protien powder everyday. I would like to try their new supplement! Thanks for the giveaway opportunity!
Yes, I use Healthy Habits B12 patches!

  13. Wow, I am glad I came across this 🙂 [thanks @veganperks]
I take Deva Multi-Vitamins, I love them but I only wished they had a liquid form. I look forward to try this. Thank you for the information. I am actually in need of vitamins as we speak, good thing I didn’t buy Deva yet. I will give this one a try!

  14. Somer,

Did you find it difficult to live a raw lifestyle while living in a colder climate (provided you were living in a colder climate)? I live outside of Boston and during the winter months, I find it incredibly difficult to eat a raw diet — even salads and my vegan protein drink mixed with Almond Milk have, at times, turned me off. Spring/Summer/Fall raw foods like salads and uncooked veggies does not bother me, but during the cold awful winters of Boston, I prefer a nice warm meal.

    Your thoughts?

BTW, a few months ago I purchased the book: Rawesomely Vegan. I liked the book and it’s breakdown: smoothies, juices, etc…but I just couldn’t climb on board because it was the middle of winter.

Perhaps I’m over-thinking the raw thing? HaHa!

    😐

  15. My daughter is going to Ireland to march in the St. Patricks day parade with her marching band next year and we are needing to boost her health.. She has food allergies and lung weakness along with overall body fatigue. We can’t seem to find anything to help her. Do you think this product might bennefit her some?

    1. Absolutely. I would recommend this product, as well as their Immune Sheild. I use both since I have an autoimmune disease. I get sick far less often than I used to after starting to use the products. Another one that’s good to consider for immune support is their ormus super greens. They take some getting used to, but they are powerful and full of anti inflammatory benefits.
